If you remember from the April Happenings email, we said the 5th Sunday of the month would be a different type ride from the normal routine.
This Sunday, 4/30, is the 5th Sunday and we will be riding our mountain bikes on the AZ Trail. Leaving from the Loma Alta Trailhead at 6:30 am. Distance to the real rocky part and back is 18 miles of nice flowing trail, with maybe a water crossing.
To get there, take Old Spanish Trail out to Camino Loma Alta and turn LEFT towards the Rincons. The trailhead is at the end of the road about 2 miles up.
See You there! If you want, coffee/breakfast afterward at Saguaro Corners Restaurant. ... ExpandHide

This Saturday's ride will be a Westside ride up and over Gates Pass, down to Kinney, around to the south and back, around 25 miles. For the more adventurous, Ken will lead you around McCain Loop, back to Kinney and then back.
I keep saying Back to....... The ride will start from the Mercado on the southwest corner of Congress and S. Avenida del Convento at 7 am. Plenty of food, pastries and great coffee upon your return.
See ya there!

Some of us are looking for the last tune-up before the Chino Grinder. We were thinking Box Canyon, but it doesn't look like the Sawmill Fire will be out in time, so Redington here we come.
We will roll from the CrossRoads Coffee at 6:30 am to ride up Redington, Bruce's most favorite route!!
Please let me know if we should expect you.
See you there!
